Forza Horizon 5 doesn’t allow you to directly sell a car to a player willing to buy it. Instead, you will be allowed to list an auction for the car. You will be asked to fix a starting price for the car and a buyout price. Now, such listings will always run the risk of going unnoticed. Like you, other players will also list auctions. How to list a car auction in Forza Horizon 5?
To buy or sell a car, you will need to head over to the Horizon Festival Mexico event. To fast travel, simply open the Main Menu and then the Cars tab. From there, choose to Buy new and used cars and confirm to fast travel to Horizon Festival. You will now be seeing the Buy and Sell menu tab options and the option to visit the Auction House will be on the left. Select it and follow the next steps:
1) In the Auction House menu, choose Start Auction.
2) Select the car you want to sell.
3) Now, set a starting price, a buyout price, and the time for which the auction will run. The starting price is where players can start bidding. However, some players don’t want to wait until the auction gets over; they can pay you the buyout price and get the car without either of you having to wait till the end.
4) Once you set the numbers, select Confirm > OK. Forza Horizon 5 reportedly deducts a small auction fee from the selling price of the car.
