Audio is an important aspect of gaming and no one enjoys playing any game without any sounds. Well, as of writing this guide, the official team has yet to acknowledge the issue and address it in a patch. Recent updates have missed out on this issue and all we have for now are some player-suggested fixes that could fix the voice chat issues in Delta Force.
Windows Settings
To fix the voice chat issue in Delta Force, select the correct audio device. With the game open, minimize it, click Start > Settings > System > Sound > Advanced Sound Options, and verify the default input and output devices. Set the output to your headset or speakers and the input to your microphone. Adjust these settings as needed to ensure the game uses the right devices.
Reset the Volume Mixer
Right-click on the sound icon and open the Volume Mixer. Check the volume levels for each application and reset them if necessary. Ensure no application is muted. You will have to check the audio levels for Steam and Delta Force specifically. Set them to 100% and then close the Volume Mixer to save changes.
Rebind keys
If voice chat still doesn’t work in Delta Force, try rebinding the push-to-talk key in the game settings, as the default binding may not function properly. Additionally, note that voice chat might be restricted in certain pregame menus when in a group. To bypass this, set the chat to “Always On” or use the department tab specifically for communication.
Configure Sound Device
