With the recent release of Destiny 2’s Season 15, many players have been reporting about a missing DLL file which is restricting Destiny 2 from launching in their systems. Well, if you have encountered the error, then continue reading to find more information about it.
It has been only a couple of days since Season 15 has been launched for Destiny 2. Well, with a ton of new content introduced in the game, it seems that Bungie also introduced a ton of bugs and glitches in the game which is wreaking havoc in the community. Recently, it has come to light that players are unable to launch Destiny 2 as a DLL file “api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll” appears to be missing.
However, even when players download the .dll file and add it to the Destiny 2 directory, another error appears which is “error (0xc000007b)”. Irrespective of the versions of Windows, be it Windows 7, 8, or 10, the error seems to be occurring as BattlEye is blocking Destiny2.exe from running. Well, if you are facing this issue on your system, then, unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to fix it.

Destiny 2- Missing DLL file Issue Fix?
The good news is that Bungie has acknowledged the issue and is currently investigating it. Upon carrying out some investigations, they found that BattlEye is not responsible for this error. Later they did find out what was causing the problem. It was due to the changes that Bungie made in their builds for safety against buffer overruns. So, now that they know the cause of the issue, it will be an easier task to fix it.
Also, they have stated that the issue will not be solved until the weekend begins. The community is not happy about it as Bungie has not yet stated about the compensation for the lost light and the lost bright dust that they could have earned playing this whole time. Well, let us wait and let Bungie figure out a fix for this issue first, only then they might add details about the compensations for players.
