Destiny 2 Season 16
With the official confirmation of the release of the next Expansion, The Witch Queen, it looks dire for the fans waiting for a new Season in Destiny 2. Well, we can never know what Bungie is planning to do here, but according to a Playstation store leak, the Witch Queen expansion will span Season 16-19 which suggests that the upcoming season still has a long way to go before being actually introduced in the game.
As for the story, we all know that Savathun is the next villain featured in Destiny 2 and Bungie will be focusing on providing the initial plots of the story in the current Season 15. However, Season 16 will be playing a big part in the current story continuation and if Bungie is planning to release both The Witch Queen expansion along with the Season 16 update, it is surely going to be huge for all the Destiny 2 gamers. As many have confirmed that Osiris is Savathun, it will be really interesting to know how the story pans out in the next Season.

Well, it is very likely that Season 16 is going to be released alongside the “The Witch Queen” expansion like we witnessed during the Season of Arrivals and have an extended Season 15 in Destiny 2. Since Savathun is heavily connected to the Dreaming city featured in Season 15, it would make more sense to be the leading location for the Witch Queen as well. So, expect the new Season to be released on 22nd Feb 2022 when “The Witch Queen” expansion is released.
