One such error is the inability of the bike to connect to the Echelon app. A considerable amount of users have reported this problem. How to fix/workaround Echelon app not finding bike:
1) Restart the app:
Echelon suggests users restart the app before trying anything else. This simple step can solve a lot of problems on the Echelon app. Restart the app on your device. Make sure to force close it by removing the app from the list of recently used apps on your device. Following the restart, check if your bike still cannot connect to the app. if the problem is still not solved, keep reading.
2) Check if Bluetooth is on:
Even though this seems a bit too obvious, it can be a reason for your bike not being recognized on the app. If you are using an Echelon bike, ensure that the blue light near the handlebar is flashing. This indicates that your bike is available to pair through Bluetooth. Also, make sure that no other device has its Bluetooth on in the vicinity. If you don’t see the blue light flashing, unplug the power cable of the bike and plug it back. Once the blue light is flashing, try to connect Echelon to your bike again.
3) Try the app on a different device:
Use some other device to run the Echelon app. This will also give you some insight into whether your original device is the problem. If the app gets connected to your bike through a different device, you can continue using it. Or, contact the manufacturer’s support team for that device.
4) Fault in the bike:
Suppose your Echelon app does not connect to your bike even after trying everything mentioned above. In that case, the bike may not be compatible with Echelon, or there’s a bug affecting the connectivity process. Report the problem to the distributor first. If the cycle is still in its warranty period, claim the warranty. The technical support will surely get you through this situation.
