Apart from manufacturing such products, the brand also ensures making its products easy to use and operate. Ecobee App is one of the easiest ways to operate the products.
However, recently, several users have complained that their Ecobee App is not working. This can cause difficulty in using and operating products. Users need the Ecobee App to easily manage device settings. The Ecobee App not working can mean several things. Here are a few simple fixes and workarounds that users can try if they are facing the Ecobee App not working issue
Follow these steps as closely as possible and we are sure you will be able to resolve your issues. Please note that certain wordings may differ on different devices based on app versions, model numbers, or locations.
1.) Please make sure that your phone or tablet or whichever device you are using has a proper internet connection. Switch to another network or head over to an area with the better network coverage. Switch off your data connection and then turn it on again. These are a few steps you can try in case you are having network or internet speed-related problems.
2.) Make sure that you are using the latest Ecobee App version. Using outdated app versions may cause problems like these. To update your app, head over to the Play Store if you are an Android user. Apple users can go to the App Store. Search for the Ecobee App in the search bar and tap on the App name or icon from the result. You will see an “update” option. Tap on it and then tap on “agree” to the terms and conditions that may appear. Open the app again once the update is complete.
3.) If no app updates are available or in case updating does not help, uninstall the app. Tap and hold on to the Ecobee app icon and then tap on the “uninstall” option to directly remove it. Or head over to “Settings” on your device and look for the Ecobee App option. Now uninstall the app from there.
4.) Several iOS users complain that their App is not connecting to their thermostat. If you too are facing this issue, try the following steps. Uninstall and reinstall the app and go to your iPhone’s “Settings”. Now open the Ecobee App settings and enable “Force Log Out”. Launch the app again and log in.
