Reel Mods
The 4 reel mods include:

- Mark 4
Each reel mod is locked behind a quest. The Mark 1 reel mod is the first reel mod you’ll get. Its benefits? Well, it gives you +30% rotation speed when applied. Getting this reel mod is easy. You just need to complete the Fish Quest I – “Common bait for common fish”. To complete it, you will have to catch the following:
- Catch any small fish (x5)
- Catch any medium fish
Similarly, you will need to complete the Fish Quests to get access to the Mark 2, Mark 3, and Mark 4 Reel Mods. How to find the quest? Well, go to the game’s main menu, select Challenges, and then select Fishing. Here, on the very top, you will find the quest that’s required to be completed to get the next reel mod. How to unlock upgrades?
Daily Challenges. Daily challenges are your ticket to get mod upgrades. “Daily: Big Fish in a Small Pond” is the challenge that refreshes daily. You can access it by visiting Fisherman’s Rest and interacting with Captain Raymond Clark. He will ask you to catch some fish in certain areas of the map. Complete the quest every day to get a chance to obtain an upgrade. With other rewards, there’s only a 20% chance that you will be able to get an upgrade. So, keep trying.
How to Upgrade Your Fishing Rod?
Once you have a reel mod or an upgrade, you will need to visit any Tinker’s Workbench to be able to apply these mods/upgrades to your fishing rod. Interact with it and then select the Modify option. This will take you to the Fishing Rod Modification menu. Here, you can apply all your mods and upgrades to your fishing rod.
