The highly anticipated title from Giants Software is finally here. Farming Simulator 25, being the latest addition to the long-running FM series, has been the recipient of mixed reviews from fans, at least on Steam. Now, why this might be is something to talk about but in this guide, we will be focusing on getting the flickering issue in FM 25 fixed, as it has been troubling a lot of players. That said, if you too are struggling with the same, consider reading this guide for workarounds.
Farming Simulator 25 is here to provide players with the most authentic farm-life experience across North America, Europe, and East Asia. With a roster of 25 crops, over 400 authentic farm-life vehicles from real-world manufacturers to assist your farming journey, and lifelike immersive graphics, the game offers a much better experience than its predecessors. But does it really? Well, similar to its predecessors, FM 25 is also prone to a variety of issues. The flickering issue, for instance, forces the monitor screen to flicker or close for a few milliseconds or doesn’t load shadows correctly, turning fields into a black void. If that’s something you have experienced in the game, here are some workarounds worth trying.

Farming Simulator 25 (FS 25) Flickering Issue troubling players: Is there any fix yet
As of now, there is no official fix for this issue, and that’s quite obvious given that the game has just been released. We are expecting a hotfix release from the developers that should curb all the initial hiccups players are facing, but there isn’t any information on when such an update will be released. With that said, try the workarounds shared below to get rid of the flickering issue until an official fix is released:
1) Set Monitor Refresh Rate to 60Hz
If you have a high refresh rate monitor, consider limiting the refresh rate to 60Hz and then checking whether the flickering issue is fixed. If yes, then what you need to do next is switch back to the original refresh rate of your monitor and then access the in-game settings. In the Display Settings tab, find the Framerate Limit option, and then set it to match the refresh rate of your monitor. If you have a 120Hz monitor, set the Framerate Limit option to 120. After this, the issue should no longer exist.
2) Update GPU Drivers
Another workaround to fix the flickering issue in FM 25 is to make sure that you have the latest GPU drivers installed. For this, either visit the official website of your GPU manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your GPU or access the GPU companion application and initiate a driver update from there. In both cases, after installing the update, restart your PC and then launch the game to check whether the flickering issue persists.
3) Disable Freesync
If your monitor is Freesync compatible and it is enabled, consider disabling this feature before launching the game. Disabling Freesync did fix the issue for a player, so this workaround is worth a try.
4) Change Windowed Mode
For this workaround, launch the game, go to the Settings menu, and select Display Settings. Now, find the Windowed Mode option and set it to Exclusive Fullscreen. This should help fix the flickering issues. If it doesn’t, try the other windowed mode options and test which works best.
For now, these are the workarounds worth trying to fix the flickering issues in Farming Simulator 25. If you find this guide informative, you must visit Android Gram daily for more such interesting content on all things gaming.
