Android 11 was officially released last month and has been able to receive a decent feedback from users. But it is normal that bugs come with every software update. The same has happened in terms of Android 11. Since the release, many users have noticed a lot of problems. People are now thinking a lot before upgrading their system to Android 11. So, it can be said that the features of Android 11 can be considered as bugged.
Android 11 has introduced a new feature of bubbles and users are still thinking how Google messed up this problem after spending months in beta testing. The feature is not completely polished and is not user-friendly. Messenger chat heads not working has been a major problem in Android 11. Chat bubbles is a feature that actually attracted people towards Android 11. The feature can be used to reply to messages without opening the messaging app and when you are scrolling through other apps.
The major issue that is being faced by users in terms of Messenger chat heads is that even if they enable the chat heads, they don’t work properly. The symbol appears on screen but sometimes they are seen in the shape of a square and sometimes they cover half part of the screen. Users have also complained about an issue where they don’t get any notifications. Unfortunately, there are no options to fix this issue in phone settings and so people have tried to enable the auto-start of the app and disabled the battery optimization. Still, these things have not worked at all. If you want to fix the problem by yourself, you can follow these steps –
Check your phone software
Before you start to fix the problem, check the software version you are using on your phone. You must remember that Chat Bubbles works only on Android 11. So, if your phone is running old software, the feature will not work at all. For checking the software version of your phone, go to Settings and then select About. If your phone is running on Android 11, check if there are any more pending updates.
Restart your phone
After you install Android 11, it is possible that you might not be able to use the feature of chat bubbles instantly. So, after you install Android 11, restart your phone and check if you can use the feature.
Update your applications
After you upgrade your phone to Android 11, make sure that you update your apps to the new version and specifically, the messenger apps. You can go to Google Play Store and go to the left sidebar. There will be an option of ‘My apps & games’. Tap on it and update the messaging apps.
