Can’t see Google Meet notifications on your device? Glance over the troubleshooting steps given in this article that will easily fix the problem for you.

Google Meet is a communication service by Google that lets people host social events online. People can communicate with each other through video chat and share content with others. Services like Google meet are often used to form large-scale social circles. Small businesses and institutions are some examples of groups that make use of such apps. Almost all apps on a device push notifications to remind or inform the user about something. If Google Meet is not doing the same for you, it can become difficult to keep up with the tasks at hand. To solve the problem with notifications on Google Meet, try the following list of fixes.

Fixes for Google Meet notifications not working:

1) Allow notifications:

To use a service at its full potential, it is important to give it the necessary permissions on your device. You will need to enable push notifications for the app. The default settings for any app will automatically push notifications on your device. But if you have changed your privacy settings, it is possible that Google Meet’s notifications have been disabled. Open the Settings app and go to the Notifications section. Check whether Google Meet has permission to send you notifications. If you use Google Meet on a browser, make sure that the browser settings allow Google Meet notifications. These are some of the smaller details that most users look past. Once you are certain that notifications are enabled, see if you receive a notification. If the problem still persists, try the next fix on our list.

2) Disable silencing filters:

Having your device on Do Not Disturb can stop notifications from all apps, including Google Meet. In that case, disable DND or similar modes like Silent or Priority mode. If you still don’t see the notifications from Meet, try the next troubleshooting method.

3) Restart the device:

Restarting your device is a quick way to get rid of minor glitches in the system. If the notifications are being prevented due to a minor system glitch, a restart is the best way to solve it. Restart your device and check the status of the Meet notifications. If you are still unable to get updates on your account, try the next fix.

4) Reinstall Google Meet:

A complete reinstallation of the service will let you go through the necessary permissions step by step. During the reinstallation, pay close attention to the permission questions. Make sure you allow Meet to send you notifications. You will most definitely start receiving notifications on Google Meet after a reinstallation.
