GoPro Hero 9 media mod

GoPro is the most famous action camera. It is the best at what it intended to do. Want to record a cool video for a sporting activity? GoPro is your clear choice. With the release of every new camera, the manufacturers manage to outdo themselves. This is true for GoPro Hero 9 as well. It puts all the previous GoPro versions to shame. You can easily capture high-resolution images and trust the camera to hold onto the precious moments of your life. The GoPro Hero 9 offers many useful features for its users, one of them being cloud storage. With a GoPro Hero 9, you can upload your photos and videos to cloud storage and never worry about losing them.

But, there have been incidents where users were unable to get their GoPro synced with the cloud. There can be many potential reasons for this problem. Fortunately, you won’t have to worry about that, since you have this article to guide you through the troubleshooting steps for it. Take a look below!

Fixes for GoPro Hero 9 not uploading to cloud:

1) Reinstall the GoPro app:

Some users who went through the same problem suggest reinstalling the GoPro app. Uninstall the app from your phone or the device you access it from. For good measure, restart your phone. Now install the app again and log into your account. See if your GoPro Hero 9 has started uploading the media files to the cloud.

2) Try while charging the camera:

If your camera is on low charge, it may try to avoid uploading the media files to the cloud. Hence, plug the camera into the charger. Check if the upload starts. Even if your GoPro is fully charged, plugging it into the charger can help. This is because a user mentioned a glitch in a forum. According to the report, the camera, even though fully charged, demanded to be plugged into the charger even when the device has charge to spare. The user encountered this error when they tried to manually upload the media files on the cloud from their GoPro Hero 9. Hence, charging the camera should fix your problem.

3) Use a different USB cable:

I know what you’re thinking. How would changing the USB cable for the charger change anything? And that’s a valid question to be fair. However, this fix is suggested by a maximum number of users affected by this glitch. Almost all users were able to fix the upload problem by connecting the charger with a different USB wire. Try it out with your camera as well. Replace the USB cable that you use with a spare one you can find around the house. When the GoPro Hero 9 starts charging, it will immediately start uploading the media files to the cloud.

4) Check if the media is flagged:

There are certain flags that you must know to read the status of certain photos in your library. Below is the list of all the icons that can give you an idea about what’s wrong with the uploads.
CLOCK – Item is queued for upload
CLOUD+UP – Item uploading
CLOUD+CHECK – Upload completed
EXCLAMATION – There was an error uploading.
You can then use this information to contact GoPro customer support for help.
