2024 has seen the release of many games, both from AAA studios and indie developers. But what’s common in most games is the graphical fidelity they offer. One such interesting title is Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, which was recently released on all popular platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Now, while the platform support for the game is great, spanning across PC and multiple consoles, it is the Steam Deck users that have struggled much to get the game running. Being a game that has a minimum system requirement of an i7-10700K/AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER/AMD Radeon RX 6600, it isn’t too far-fetched to say that Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is a resource-hungry game, a bit too much for the Steam Deck. But the Deck is a versatile device, and that has the capability to run most games, despite the low FPS. That said, to get the best experience out of your Steam Deck while playing the game, you need to apply the right settings. What are those settings? Continue reading to know more.
The Steam Deck is a fairly powerful device, but as per 2024 standards, it does fall short quite a bit. Its rivals such as the Rog Ally and Legion Go are better equipped and can handle AAA titles better. Anyway, if you want to run Indiana Jones and The Great Circle on the Deck, there are challenges that you will need to deal with. First, the green eyes issue during cutscenes. Next, the forced ray tracing, which is the root of the performance issues. Due to this, no matter what settings scheme you choose, the in-game FPS will be close to 30, but not above it.
