Being in early access, there are quite a few features that are not available in the game, Lethal Company. The objective of the game is to collect scrap from various moons to sell to the Company, though it is not exactly clear why. The twist is, of course, that you and your crew are not the only creatures on the moons, and the local inhabitants are not happy with you rummaging around in their homes. The game offers an immersive atmosphere, which makes it all the more scary. This is exactly why you might have thought to upgrade your display to a widescreen, to make the experience all the more immersive, only to find that, alas, Lethal Company does not support ultrawide resolutions natively.
Or maybe you already had an ultrawide display and were looking forward to experiencing this game on your swanky widescreen. Whatever the case, you might have noticed that Lethal Company does not support ultrawide resolutions natively, which means when you play the game on your ultrawide monitor, you have black bars on your screen. This is obviously really jarring and breaks the immersion, which is a core part of this game, so read this guide until the end to find out if there is a workaround.
Lethal Company Ultrawide Support Details with workaround
Officially, there is no method to get Lethal Company to run on ultrawide displays with full support, as this feature is not yet implemented in the game. However, there is a workaround you can use to get it to work, which we have mentioned below.
Windowed Borderless Gaming –
Well, the ‘Windowed Borderless Gaming’ application allows you to get past the game’s resolution restrictions. Here are the steps on how to get it to work:
- First, download the application.
- Next, launch Lethal Company in windowed mode.
- After this, open Windowed Borderless Gaming.
- Select Lethal Company in the ‘Game’ section, which can be accessed by heading over to the Game Settings option.
- Next, add the game to Favorites.
- Now, set the Resolution to something that’s a bit lower than your monitor’s native resolution. After this, save the changes.
- Once done, head back to the game and switch it to full-screen mode.
Now, you should no longer have black bars while running Lethal Company on your ultrawide display. In case you still do, however, experiment around with different resolutions to find the ideal one. If you do not know what resolution your display is and you are running Windows 10, you can find it by going to Settings>System>Display>Display Resolution.
Note that this is an unofficial workaround, so it may be prone to visual glitches. Lethal Company is still in early access, so hopefully the full release will bring native ultrawide support to the game. Until then, we hope this guide will help you get the game running on your ultrawide monitor. If it did, consider checking out Android Gram for more such guides.
