LG OLEDs have gained popularity because of their variable refresh rate and auto-low latency mode features for gaming purposes. Coupled with the world’s fastest gaming consoles, LG OLEDs have very low input lag and ultra-low response time of 1 ms. They have features like Dolby Vision, which makes the picture crystal clear, and Dolby Atmos gives out the perfect game sound for an immersive experience. With possibilities of up to 120 frames per second and up to 8K resolution, this TV is a good option for an Xbox/PS5 gamer.
LG OLEDs have disturbing popups.
Although the LG OLEDs have been popular and unbeatable in terms of features, they do have their share of problems to be addressed. Users have reported some annoying popups which cannot be disabled from the TV settings. The auto game response/instant game response is a pop-up when the TV detects a game; it is like a “gaming mode” for TVs. This makes sure you won’t have to change to a gaming mode manually and optimizes the screen for games. However, it keeps popping up multiple times, which hampers the game experience for many users.
There is no way to disable these pop-ups. Users are frustrated as turning the feature off will disable the Variable Refresh Rate feature. Hence, the users are requesting customer support to look into the issue and give an option to disable the pop-ups.
The LG Customer support has acknowledged the same and promised to come up with a solution.
LG OLEDs are the best in class, with features best suited to console gaming. It makes the experience very flattering and smooth. However, there are small user experience issues with all gadgets in the market. We hope the LG customer support has taken the complaints seriously and is waiting to deliver a solution soon. We also urge the users to be patient as the fix is coming soon.
