Fixes for Libby not syncing with kindle:
Unavailable book:
A sync issue usually means that users are finding it difficult to get the expected content from one account to other. However, this sync is not a hundred percent guarantee with Libby and Kindle in the picture. That is because some books on Libby cannot be accessed on a Kindle, no matter what. Libby suggests users to tap on the book jacket and scroll down to “Supports”. Look for Kindle on that page. You should find the necessary information for that Libby book and its availability on Kindle.
Already downloaded:
Users who have already downloaded the book in a different format on a different service will also have an issue with syncing Libby with Kindle. The fix, in this case, is easy, users will have to borrow the book again and then download it on their Kindle.
Redeliver the book:
According to Libby, if a user is finding it difficult to get a book from their library onto their Kindle, redelivering the book should help. There are quite a few steps that go into this. So make sure to read carefully. Click here to go to the Amazon website. Sign into your account and then follow these steps. Accounts and Listings (at the top of the page) > Content and Devices > Deliver or Remove from Device (next to the book of your choice). Select the device to which you want to deliver the book. Then click on “Make changes”. This should fix the syncing issues between Libby and Kindle.
Remove and re-add cards:
If you have multiple devices connected to your Libby account, select the device where you would like to keep your tags. Because following this process, the tags on all your other devices will be gone. Tap on the three lines to open up the menu and select Manage cards > Actions > Remove card > Yes, remove card. Now select Add a card and follow the prompts on your screen. After that, check if the syncing issue between Libby and Kindle is fixed.
Reset Libby on other devices:
Before going forward with this step, make sure that you have Libby logged into a different device with all your cards, loans, holds, and tags. And perform this step on your kindle to fix its syncing issues with Libby.
Now, tap on the menu option and select Get some help > Common solutions > Reset everything > yes reset everything. You will have to use a setup code to copy important details like cards, loans, holds, and tags. So make sure to do that. Now, on the welcome screen, you will be asked if you have a library card. Select Yes. Now select Copy from another device. To retrieve the set up code, open Libby on a different device that has your account logged in. Go to Menu > Settings > copy to another device. Enter the 8-digit code provided in the device you are setting up. Follow the prompts, and you are done!
