However, folks have been speculating some dates and it sounds quite plausible. According to a theory, the 1.20 update might get relesed in November 2022. Now, you might ask why? Well, Minecraft has always had a set pattern for the update releases. So, if the developers follow the said pattern, then Novemeber 2022 seems to be the right date for releasing update 1.20.

Folks are also speculating what the 1.20 update might add to Minecraft. Well, according to most players, the upcoming update might add several new biomes to the game. This will indeed be a huge update. The developers might also overhaul the existing biomes to match with the new ones. But at this point, these are just speculations.
