Minecraft: How to disable Phantoms (2022)

Don’t want Phantoms to attack your character? Wondering how to disable the Phantoms in Minecraft? Then you, my friend, might want to read the whole article. Phantoms are the creatures that hunt you down if you haven’t slept for three days in a row. Sleeping has many benefits in Minecraft. But, it takes time and a lot of players like to utilize that time doing something else. That’s where the Phantoms come into play. They will target a server and start attacking players who don’t sleep. So, if you want to save players on your server from this ordeal, then make sure to read the article till the end.

Minecraft does not bind you into a linear storyline. You are free to do what you want. The players can keep exploring the vast map of Minecraft. The developers have also added several biomes that keep things lively and interesting. We just got a new swamp biome not too long ago. Each biome has a unique environment as well as some unique mobs. The whole game is filled with mobs and villagers. Some of them are friendly or neutral while others will attack you on sight. Well, Phantoms are one of the dangerous mobs in Minecraft. So, let us proceed with the main topic.

Now, the best way to deal with Phantoms is by sleeping. Go to bed and these flying mobs will be cooked by sunlight. But, they will not disappear if there are other players on the server who haven’t slept. But, there is a more permanent solution to this problem- disable the Phantoms. So, how do you do that? Well, doing this is actually very easy. All you have to do is disable the Insomnia mechanic in your server. This will make sure that your players are not sleep-deprived.

So, once you load the world, bring up the Server Console. Now, type /gamerule doInsomnia false. Make sure to type the command as you see. Take special care as the command is case-sensitive. Once you activate this command, the Phantoms will no longer appear and attack the players. So in a way, this command also disables the Phantoms in Minecraft. Well, this brings us to the end of this article. We hope that you found it helpful. Stay tuned to Android Gram, and happy gaming.
