My Summer Car Game Not Detecting Save: How to fix it
If you didn’t already know, My Summer Car is a survival game. And it is not like any survival game. It comes with the permadeath feature, which means that once you die, there’s no going back to a previous checkpoint and starting again. You will have to go back to the beginning and restart your journey. This is only when the permadeath mode is turned on. So, if you have died in the game and then found that permadeath was turned on, then unfortunately, the save is gone. Apart from this, there is also the possibility that the saved file is corrupted, which is why the game is unable to detect it. So, how to get rid of this problem?
Whether you have died with permadeath mode turned on, which resulted in the saved file getting deleted, or the file is corrupted itself, you can in fact restore it using a backup. Where is the backup located? Well, to access it, first, open the File Explorer on your PC and then go to the C drive. Here, open the Users folder and then open the folder with your username. Now, go to AppData>LocalLow>Amistech folder. In this folder, you should find the saved files. Here, remove or rename the defaultES2file.txt file to something else. Now, find a backup save with the .bak extension. All backups have .bak extension. What you need to do now is rename the backup file as defaultES2file.txt (make sure .txt is the file type and not .bak). Once done, you should get your in-game progress back.
So, this is how you can fix the save file not detecting issue in My Summer Car. If you find this guide informative, consider visiting Android Gram for more such interesting reads.
