The fact that the Control/Quick Panel has alot of wasted space is because there is a media player in it now but it only appears when media is playing.
This also showcases it's animations which need alot of refinement. pic.twitter.com/VR3XAIYI27

Original post from October 4th follows below:
A ton of mobile phone brands are available to choose from for users as per their usage. Some phones target gaming enthusiasts by providing a flagship chipset at an affordable price, while others offer brilliant cameras for photo enthusiasts. However, most people like balanced phones that are durable, have exclusive features and have a high brand value. All these are featured in Samsung smartphones. Most Samsung mobile devices are very popular in their segments. Recently, the S24 FE made its way to the masses, but most are eagerly waiting for the release of the S25 and S25 Ultra. Now, although the wait for the upcoming phones is huge, there are many Samsung users awaiting the release of One UI 7, the popular Samsung UI known for its exclusive features. So, if you are wondering about when the upcoming One UI 7 is going to be released, its features, and the devices that will support it, consider reading this for more details on the same.
In the recent SDC24 event, Samsung revealed some of the features of the One UI 7, although it was just a sneak peek rather than a detailed one. This is what was revealed during the SDC24 event about One UI 7:
One UI has always been designed to bring users the most personalized, creative and productive experiences possible on mobile devices. Samsung previewed a sneak peek of One UI 7 at SDC24, highlighting its new UX focused on simple, impactful and emotive design alongside more ways to seamlessly integrate Galaxy AI features into daily activities. One UI 7 beta will be available to developers before the end of this year.
So, from this, it is pretty clear that focusing on bringing a highly personalized experience has been the primary goal, along with a heavy emphasis on integrating Galaxy AI features. That said, when is the stable version of the update expected to go live? More details are shared below.

One UI 7 Release Date, Features & Supported Devices
Release
Back in 2023, Samsung released the One UI 6 Beta update back in August 2023, before the SDC23 event took place. So, the same was expected in 2024, but due to internal delays faced by Samsung, the release of the One UI 7 Beta has been pushed to the end of this year. This is what Samsung revealed in the SDC24 event. So, based on this, expect the One UI 7 Beta release to go live in December 2024. However, the release of the stable version is yet to be announced, but there is a pattern that Samsung follows using which we can predict the same. Samsung releases their big updates in UI alongside new Galaxy devices, which is why we are expecting that One UI 7 will debut with the Galaxy S25 series launch with Android 15. As for the release date, rumors and speculations point to a Q1 2025 release, so expect the same.
Features?
Regarding the features of One UI 7, not much is currently known except that it will bring a bunch of monumental aesthetic changes. But the update is not limited to that only. With changes to icons, the introduction of a split notification tray, and Quick Settings, along with home screen and lock screen optimizations, the upcoming One UI 7 will be a whole new experience. In addition to this, it is rumored that One UI 7 will also feature a clone of Apple’s Dynamic Island. Although there are plenty of rumored posts and leaks, there isn’t any official confirmation on the same, which is why we recommend waiting for the actual beta release rather than depending on leaks and rumors. There is a general consensus that One UI 7 will feature a more iOS-like feel, but it is yet to be confirmed.
