The most recent patch for Palia (v0.168) introduced new bundles into the game. Most of these are accessible right after the required quest has been fulfilled. Jina will grant you these quests as always, and you will soon start your hunt for various kinds of creatures. Some include bugs in their bundle, while others include fish of some sort. We have already covered how to complete the Brightbug Bundle, which requires players to catch a variety of bugs, but in this guide, you will learn about the Flamerod Bundle, which includes catching none other than a variety of fish.
Some bundles can be unlocked pretty easily, while most require catching a bunch of unique fish or bugs. Well, completing the Flamerod Bundle requires you to catch a total of four fish of varying rarity. Since this can be a hassle, we are here to guide you through the entire process. Continue reading until the end, and you will be confident enough to catch all of them.
Palia Flamerod Bundle: How to get & unlock
The Flamerod Bundle can be unlocked after completing the Vault of the Flame quest. You will receive this quest from Jina. These bundles can be completed in the Night Sky Temple. You can locate this temple towards the north of Leafhopper Hills. This location is accessible without any level restrictions. But the real grinding occurs before you unlock the vault. You must complete the Plumhound Pilgrimage and A Catalyzing Caper quests to unlock and gain access to the Vaut of the Flame quest. Then, you will be free to start hunting for bundle items.
What does the Flamerod Bundle include?
The flamerod bundle includes four fish. The location and when to catch them are listed below:
- The first fish you need to catch is the Dawnray, and it’s an uncommon fish. You can catch it in any river in the Bahari Bay region. However, it can only be caught between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. in-game time. The good thing is that it requires no bait.
- Next is an epic fish called the Flametongue Ray. It can be caught in any river located in the Kilima village region between 3 a.m. and 6 p.m. Some prominent locations where this fish can be caught are Phoenix Falls, South of Mirror Fields, and Whispering Banks. However, you need glow worms as bait to catch them.
- Another fish you need to catch is an uncommon fish called a Striped Sturgeon, which can be caught in Kilima Lake. As for time, start fishing between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. Catching this fish requires worms as bait.
- The last fish on this list is a rare one called Radiant Sunfish, which can be caught at any time of the day. As for location, head over to any river in Kilima Village. It can only be caught using worms as bait.
How do you catch these fish?
We have already covered how to fish in Palia. You can click here to learn more details about it, and for how to get worms, click here. Once you have grasped the basics of bait and fishing, head over to the mentioned locations at the correct time and start fishing. While uncommon ones will be easy to catch, rare and epic fish may turn out to be difficult. Just keep on trying, and you will be able to catch all of them. Once you have all the required fish, return to the temple and interact with the stone vault. You will get a Pyroflow Bobber as a reward.
