The rumor that Samsung’s One UI 7 is inspired by iOS seems plausible, as seen by the implementation of various features. From the ultra-smooth animations to the revamped customization screen for Quick Settings, the inspiration is clearly visible. Here are some of the notable changes seen in One UI 7:
New Icons
When accessing One UI 7, the first thing you will notice is the introduction of new icons for different apps with round edges. Although the design is subjective, we think that the new icons look really good, and it’s about time Samsung gave their app icons an overhaul.

New Quick/Control Panel And Notification Panel
Now, this is something entirely new to the whole Samsung user base. The Quick/Control Panel and Notification Panel can be accessed separately in the upcoming One UI 7, which is eerily similar to that of iOS. Yes, other Android phones too feature the same, but Samsung being a pioneer in the Android space, most users didn’t expect this change to be implemented. The Quick Panel can be customized, but there is still room for improvement. Whether this will be a hit or miss, only time will tell.

Blurred Backgrounds
One of the primary reasons why many are convinced that One UI 7 has taken its inspiration from iOS is the extensive use of blurred backgrounds, similar to that of iPhones. From widgets with frosted blurred backgrounds to the app drawer, the resemblance can clearly be seen.

New Gallery and Phone application
The Gallery application has seen a bunch of changes, one of which is the separate section for search that allows users to search a photo using text inputs. And, in both the Phone and Gallery applications, the menu options at the bottom are now spread evenly, with icons.

New Animations
Animations have been the highlight of One UI 7, with most users saying that their smoothness is on a different level, something not seen before on Android devices. Take a look at the new animations and interface for the search menu:
