Fixes for the Sonic app unexpected error:
Check server status:
Checking the Sonic app server status is important because Sonic does not face a problem very often. So if there is a problem with the app, it is quite possible that the servers are currently down. You should visit Sonic’s official Twitter handle. If there is a large-scale issue bothering many users, Sonic will put out a post updating its users about the situation. Keep an eye out on other Sonic community forums as well. If the servers are down, wait for them to be fixed to order again. In case there is nothing wrong with the server status, below are some basic troubleshooting methods you can try.
Check internet:
Open other apps on your device and observe their performance. If there is too much latency and the loading speed is reduced a lot, you can be sure that your internet is not working. Turn off your router and unplug the power cable. Wait for a few seconds and then plug it back. Turn on the router and connect your device to the network. Check if the Sonic app unexpected error is fixed. If not, contact your ISP and ask them for assistance in fixing your internet issue. If your ISP confirms that there is nothing wrong with your internet connection, move on to the next step.
Clear app cache:
Press and hold the app icon on your device. Select the info icon or the “App info” option. Go to Storage/app cache. Select “Clear app cache”. Now open the Sonic app and check if the unexpected error persists.
Update app:
Check the store on your device to check if there are any updates lined up for the Sonic Drive-in app. If there is an update available, install it. After the installation, open the app and browser for a couple of minutes to check whether the error pops up again.
Reinstall app:
Sign out of your Sonic account and uninstall the app from your device. After uninstalling it, restart your device and install the app again. Perform the steps necessary to sign into your account. Now check if the unexpected error is fixed.
