SonyLIV App Notifications not working: Fixes & Workarounds

SonyLIV app is one of the most popular entertainment apps. Users can enjoy a range of shows and movies on the app. It is an over-the-top freemium platform where users can enjoy live sports, exclusive originals, and both old and new amazing movies. Apart from movies and TV shows, the SonyLIV app offers its users access to 100 plus news shows as well. SonyLIV is one of the most used entertainment applications in India today but SonyLIV app notifications often trouble the users.

This is so because many users keep complaining that the SonyLIV app notifications are not working. Notifications notify or alert users of the activities on their apps. As a result, users often feel bothered when the SonyLIV app notifications stop working. However, this issue can mostly be easily fixed by users following simple fixes and workarounds.

Fixing the SonyLIV app notifications with the easiest and simplest workarounds

1.) Users firstly need to ensure that they have enabled the SonyLIV app notifications. The notifications will not appear if the user has disabled the app notifications. Android users can simply go to “Settings” and then head over to “Apps” or “Applications”. Scroll till you find the SonyLIV app and check if the notifications are ON. If not, slide the toggle to “enable” or “ON”. Apple users need to follow the same steps. Additionally, they might also need to choose how they want to receive notifications.

2.) If the notifications still refuse to show, then force close the app. Now, clear the app cache and data. Once done, try using the app again. Ensure that the notifications are ON after clearing the app cache and data.

3.) Look for app updates. Many a time, users start facing similar problems when the app comes up with a new update but users keep using the older versions. Go to Play Store on your Android device and on App Store on your iPhone/iPad. Search for the SonyLIV app and if you see the “Update” option then tap on it. Download the update and relaunch the app.

4.) If on searching the app on the Store you see “Installed”, then tap on the “Uninstall” option. Now reinstall the app by tapping on “Install” and try using the app again. Make sure to keep SonyLIV app notifications “ON” all this while by following the first step.

5.) Restart your device and try using the app again. We recommend restarting the device after you follow each of the above-mentioned steps. But especially after updating and/or restarting.
