Verify the Game Files

The first solution you should try is verifying the game files. This process checks the integrity of the game files and replaces any missing or corrupt files. Here’s how you can do this:

  • The first thing that you will have to do is open Steam and go to your game library.
  • After this, you will have to right-click on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and select Properties.
  • Now, you will have to click on the Local Files tab and then click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.
  • In the end, you will have to wait for the process to complete, and then restart the game.

This should fix any issues related to missing or corrupt files that are preventing the game from updating. This process can also be done via the EA App.

Clear the Download Cache

If the first solution didn’t work, try clearing the download cache. This can help resolve any issues related to corrupted downloads or partial downloads. Here’s how you can do this:

  • You will have to open Steam and go to your Settings.
  • Now, you will have to click on Downloads and then click on Clear Download Cache.
  • After this, you will have to wait for the process to complete, and then restart Steam.
  • Now, you will have to open the game library and start the update process.

This should help fix any issues related to corrupted downloads or partial downloads that are preventing the game from updating. Also, consider uninstalling Steam Common Redistributables, and then installing them only after the update is completed.

Check your network connection

You will also have to make sure that your device is connected to the internet. If you are using Wi-Fi, you will have to check that you are connected to the correct network and that your signal strength is strong. If you are using an Ethernet cable, make sure it is plugged in securely.

Disable VPN and Firewall

Sometimes, VPNs and firewalls can block the game’s connection to the internet, preventing the game from updating. Here’s how you can disable them:

  • Firstly, you will have to open your VPN or Firewall settings.
  • Now, you will have to disable the VPN or Firewall.
  • After this, you will have to restart Steam or the EA app and start the update process.

If the update starts successfully, you can re-enable your VPN or Firewall.

Restart Your PC

Sometimes, simply restarting your PC can fix the issue. Here’s how you can do this:

  • You will have to close all running applications.
  • Now, click on the Start button and select Restart.
  • After this, wait for your computer to restart and try updating the game.

Reinstall the Game

If none of the solutions above work, the last resort is to reinstall the game. This will remove any corrupted files and give you a fresh copy of the game. Here’s how you can do this:

  • First, you will have to open Steam and go to your game library.
  • Now, you will have to right-click on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and select Uninstall.
  • Wait for the game to be uninstalled.
  • Go to your Steam Library folder (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common).
  • Delete the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor folder.
  • After this, reinstall the game.

By following these steps, you will be able to update the game easily. On this note, do not forget to visit Androidgram for the latest updates in the world of tech and gaming.
