So, continue reading.
Starfield: How to buy House
The house is just like any other necessity in this game. You can buy heavy-duty weapons and spaceships, and even a house is no exception. The only restriction is your credit limit, which, if you decide to buy one, will be expensive. Here are the various ways you can buy a house in the game:
Become a UC Citizen
This is a very important step. Your first step towards buying a house is to become a full-fledged UC citizen. To do that, simply head into the big tower in New Atlantis. That is the biggest skyscraper, and we don’t think anyone can miss it. Now, enter the massive building and start talking with Commander John Tuala. He’ll immediately start your registration process for the faction. Remember that becoming a UC Vanguard is the only way to get citizenship. Now complete the faction missions and get your UC citizenship.
Start buying houses
After becoming a full-fledged UC citizen, you can start buying houses. But remember that you must have a good amount of credits. For starters, accumulate at least 25,000-50,000 credits before proceeding. After this, you can buy houses in any of the major in-game cities:
- Akila City
- Cydonia
- New Atlantis
- Neon
These major cities have countless houses that can be bought. Some are cheap, while others are luxurious and made for rich people. Just remember that every house has the option to pay all sums at once or continue paying every week. If you don’t have all the money, then take the weekly route and save until the required credits have been accumulated. Also, many houses can only be obtained through quests.
Pick the Dream House trait
If you are short on credits and hate waiting, then you can also get a fully operational home right from the start of your in-game journey. All you need to do is choose the Dream House trait while creating your in-game character. You can also unlock it later down the line after enough progression. Once equipped, head to the Nesoi Planet, and you will be able to inspect your dream house. Remember that nothing in this world is free, and that’s why, upon choosing this trait, you will have a debt of 125,000 credits. However, on top of paying the debt in total to fully own it, you will also need to pay an interest of 500 credits every 7 days to get access to your home. It doesn’t sound too bad, does it? While this luxurious house comes with two floors, a swimming pool, a terrace, multiple living rooms, and more, you will have to decorate it manually to enhance its beauty.
Well, this was our guide on how to buy a house in Starfield. We recommend going the character trait route if you don’t mind paying the interest and having a debt on your conscience.
