Starfield: How To Cure Hypothermia

Starfield: How To Cure Hypothermia?

Hypothermia, as we have explained above, is a status effect in Starfield. This is caused when you have spent too long in unforgiving cold and frigid conditions. It is often caused when your spacesuit protection runs out. Status effects can be various in Starfield, and knowing when to back out and go back to your ship is an important aspect of exploring and looting. This RPG is brutal if you are caught without any protection in an unforgiving environment like the cold. It is even worse if you are overburdened when you are stuck in this situation.

How do you know it’s Hypothermia?

Every status effect in Starfield has different colors to denote them. While other status effects might have the same color, you can figure out from context which disease is affecting you. The color that denotes that your character is currently affiliated with hypothermia is yellow. If you have a yellow indicator in a cold environment, you can be almost sure that it is hypothermia. It is important to note that these colors denote the method of treatment, which is the same along the color index. Status effects marked yellow can be treated using Snake Oil or an Injector.

How to cure Hypothermia?

Hypothermia will slowly affect your character’s HP and other attributes, making you lose awareness and consciousness. This is a very serious condition that must be treated immediately. As we mentioned above, you can use an Injector or Snake Oil to treat this condition. Alternatively, you can visit a doctor at a settlement for a cure as well. They can treat you there. To find them, just find structures with a big green icon for a medical bay. That is where you will find them in a settlement.

Is Prognosis important?

Prognosis is an indication system that you can take a look at via the in-game menu. This system is very rudimentary and does not list the disease or status you are suffering from. It only indicates the expected recovery. The prognosis of your afflictions can be Excellent, Good, Bad or Poor. If you have a Poor prognosis, you must visit a doctor as soon as possible. If the prognosis is excellent or good, you can use a med pack and recover to full health almost naturally. So, while encountering various status effects, make sure to keep an eye on your character’s prognosis.

Well, this is all we have on how to cure hypothermia in Starfield. If you found this article helpful and would like to read more, Android Gram should be your destination.
