If your Steam Deck is frequently disconnecting from your WiFi network, there are several potential fixes and workarounds you can try:

1) Restart your router:

Sometimes, restarting your router can resolve connection issues. Simply unplug the router, power it off, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in.

2) Check for interference:

Other electronic devices in your home, such as microwaves or cordless phones, can cause interference with your WiFi signal. Try moving your Steam Deck and router to a different location to see if that resolves the issue.

3) Update your router:

Make sure your router’s firmware is up-to-date. Outdated firmware can cause a host of issues.

4) Check your security settings:

Ensure that the security settings on your router are set correctly. Make sure the encryption type and password are correct because sometimes you might be not getting properly connected to your wi-fi due to a fault in the security settings.

5) Switch to a different band:

If you are facing issues with a wi-fi of 2.5 GHz band, try switching to the 5 GHz band or vice versa.

6) Disable WiFi power savings:

Enable the developer mode on your Steam Deck and then go to the “Developer” tab in Steam settings. From there, disable WiFi power savings.

7) Try an ethernet cable:

Instead of connecting wirelessly through the network, you can try to maintain a connection through an ethernet cable.

8) Reset your Steam Deck:

If all else fails, try resetting your Steam Deck to its factory settings. This will erase all data and settings on the device, but it may resolve connection issues.

It’s important to note that the cause of disconnection can vary depending on the specific device and network, so not all of these solutions may work for everyone. If the problem persists, it may be best to contact Steam Support for further assistance. Also, do not forget to visit Androidgram for the latest updates in the world of tech and gaming.
