Team Fortress (TF) 2, not full screen: How to fix it
These are some of the methods through which you can enter the full-screen mode in the game:
1) By using the conventional Windows shortcut: There are two shortcuts through which you can enter the full-screen mode in Windows. The first shortcut is by pressing Alt+ Enter together. The second shortcut is by pressing the F11 key alone or with the “Fn” key.
2) By using in-game settings: You can also go to the game’s video settings. You can change the Display Mode to “Full Screen”. You can also set the resolution settings to “native” if you don’t know what’s the resolution of your system. Also, if you have a standard monitor, make sure that the aspect ratio of your screen is 16:9.
3) Steam Launch options: Go to the Steam Library. Now, find the TF2 game. After that, go to the Properties of the game. Now, you will see an option that says “Launch Options”. Type the command “-fullscreen”, “-noborder”, and “novid” one by one. Now, relaunch the game.
4) Turn on the “Disable Fullscreen Optimizations”: You can also check the “Disable full-screen optimizations” by opening the properties of the game by right-clicking on its shortcut. Now, go to the Compatibility tab of the game and check the box in front of Disable full-screen optimizations.
5) Update Steam: Except for Userdata, SteamApps, steam.exe, and ssfnxxxx, remove every other file from the Steam folder. Now, open the Steam app with admin privileges and it will update itself. Once the update is done, try launching the game again. Also, avoid using the big-picture mode for the game.
6) Reinstall the game: You can also try uninstalling the game and installing it again. A fresh install might also fix this issue for you.
So, these were some of the methods that will help you to run the game on full screen. If these methods don’t work, try contacting the official support of the game. Also, do not forget to visit Androidgram for the latest updates in the world of tech and gaming.
