Developed and published by Bohemia Interactive, Vigor is a post-apocalyptic looter shooter featuring both PvP and co-op gameplay. Released on May 16, 2024, for PC, the game’s currently in its early access phase, and that’s not quite surprising. The majority of the games released nowadays are part of Steam’s early access program, where developers mention the fact that the game is yet to be polished and not ready for a global release. This early access makes it easy for developers to gather feedback from the players, and players in turn get to enjoy a game months or years before its actual release. A win-win for both. Although Vigor has been available on other platforms for quite some time, its recent PC release has made it more popular than ever. Anyway, since you are reading this, you must be wondering whether Vigor supports handheld gaming systems, including the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go. If so, consider reading until the end for more details on the same.
Handheld gaming is the new trend. Apart from playing games on a traditional PC, players like to enjoy them wherever they want, and a traditional PC can’t do that. Even a laptop is a hefty device to carry everywhere. Well, to cater to this demand, devices like the Steam Deck, Rog Ally, and Legion Go are available. These handheld systems are super compact, but pack a punch in terms of hardware. Similar to the Switch, they have a really balanced and small form factor, and allow players to browse and play a variety of games. However, unlike the Rog Ally and Legion Go, the Steam Deck’s Linux-based Steam OS is something to worry about since not all games are compatible with it. So, let’s see where Vigor stands in all these complexities.

Steam Deck
As of writing this, there is currently no information to verify whether Vigor is actually playable on the Steam Deck. It is not listed as a Playable or Verified title for the Deck on the Steam Store. This is due to the fact that the game has just been released, and not many have tried it on their Decks. However, there is good news. When a player shared a query on the game’s Steam Discussion forum about Vigor’s Steam Deck Compatibility, the developer responded with the following:
Hi there, we are looking into Steam Deck support right now, and it seems promising. Make sure to wishlist the game so you don’t miss any news about Steam Deck support!
What this means is that the developers themselves are interested in making the game compatible with the Deck. In addition to this, another player shared their experience after running the game on a Linux Mint system, stating that it ran perfectly. Well, since the Deck’s OS is based on Linux, we are sure that Vigor will run perfectly on it too. Coming to performance, we currently don’t have any information regarding the same, but this article will be updated as soon as it is available.
Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go
Compatibility issues are something that you can forget about when playing games on the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go. Well, since both of these systems use Windows OS, they can run almost all games. And Vigor is no exception. If you have any of these two handhelds, feel free to give the game a shot. You won’t regret it.
