Wondering what OCE means in WoW? Well, it is easy to get lost in the vast list of WoW’s abbreviations. As time goes by, more words are added and the list keeps on expanding. But, you don’t have to look any further. Slangs and games go hand in hand. Folks don’t want to type out the whole text in the chats, and this is where slang/abbreviations come in handy. You can simply type a word, and the whole party will know what you mean. So, in this article, we will tell you what OCE means in WoW. Stick with us till the end.

WoW, or World of Warcraft is an incredibly popular massively multiplayer online video game. Blizzard launched the game for Windows and Mac OS way back in 2004. Even after all these years, the game has a solid player base and tons of daily active players. The action-packed game allows you to create your avatar and dive into its vast open world. Blizzard has released several big expansion packs that keep the players hooked. WoW has also gone through several graphical and gameplay changes. For the most part, they have proven to be beneficial for the end-users. But, this is a discussion for another time. For now, let us proceed with the main topic.

What does OCE mean in WoW

What does OCE mean in WoW?

In World of Warcraft, OCE stands for Oceanic. Now, if you’re thinking that it’s a new realm or an attack, then you are wrong. As you might be aware, WoW has its servers worldwide. This helps folks to get a good ping. The servers located in the Australian regions are termed OCE. Earlier, these servers were not physically located in Australia, and hence peeps got the same high ping. But, Blizzard later established proper servers in the region so that folks can enjoy a stable connection. Note that the whole Oceanic region shares these servers. This means that players from Australia, New Zealand, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia share the OCE servers.

You might have met folks in other servers who declare that they are OCE. This means that they belong to the Oceanic regions and will have bad ping while playing on a different server. Some players switch to a different server to play with their friends or are looking for better ping. Most of the time, switching servers negatively affects your connectivity resulting in higher ping.

So, this is all that we know about the term OCE in WoW. We hope that you found this article helpful. You can also check out our other article on How long it takes to delete your Blizzard account. Stay tuned to Android Gram, and happy gaming.
