Sirlin Games, the studio, or rather, the developer behind titles like Fantasy Strike and Puzzle Strike, is currently developing their fighting card battler, Yomi 2. Released in June 2023, the game is under early access right now, with Sirlin constantly updating it. Overall reception for Yomi 2 is quite positive right now, with players enjoying the blend of fighting games with turn-based card game mechanics. So much so that some players have even started asking questions about the next entry in the series.
Card Battlers have really become popular in the last few years thanks to titles like Slay the Spire, Library of Ruina, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and many, many more. It wouldn’t be wrong to say the genre is experiencing a kind of renaissance right now, just like Metroivanias did with Hollow Knight, Axiom Verge, and Ori and the Will of Wisps. Yomi 2 is certainly an interesting title and while players are enjoying it, many want to see the next game in the series. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out when Yomi 3 is released.
Yomi 3 Release Date: When it will be available
As of now, developer Sirlin Games hasn’t announced or even shared any details regarding the release of Yomi 3. And it’s pretty unlikely that we will get to hear about Yomi 3 for a while. So for now, you will have to enjoy Yomi 2 as it is.
So, why did we say that players wouldn’t be hearing about Yomi 3 for some time? Well, it’s because Yomi 2 is still in early access. Trying to get your next game out while the current one is still in early access is simply dumb and no sane studio will ever try to do that.
Now, if you go and take a look at the Steam page of Yomi 2, you will see that the developers have stated that Yomi 2 will stay in early access “until summer of 2024 if things go fast, or summer of 2025 if we decide to add even more features and content.” Now, even if Sirlin is able to release version 1.0 by the summer of 2024, we really don’t think they will immediately start working on Yomi 3. Yomi had at least one DLC, so it is safe to say that Yomi 2 will also get at least one DLC. Besides that, there’s also a possibility that the developer will start working on other games instead of developing Yomi 3. For now, all you can do is take a wait-and-see approach. And if we do get any new information on Yomi 3, we will be sure to let you know all about it.
And that’s all the information we have on this right now. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here, if you want to know when GPD Win 5 is releasing. Lastly, for more such content, keep following Android Gram. Also read: Rugby 25 game Release Date for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & PC
