The Flux Construct 1, known as The Guardian of the Great Sky Island, is an optional mini-boss in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK). Where to Find Flux Construct 1 boss in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Well, finding the boss is as easy as it gets. Head to the Nachoyah Shrine, located south of the Great Sky Island in the Sky region. Here are the coordinates of the Nachoyah Shrine: (0390, -1661, 2313). From there, head to the launching pad towards the right of the shrine, facing north. Look down, and you should see a circular arena. That’s where the boss is. The coordinates to the boss arena are: (0491, -1516, 1440). Here is an image of the map showing the location of the boss. Using Link’s Paraglider to glide on top of the boss
From the launching pad at the Nachoyah Shrine, glide towards the Flux Construct 1 arena. The boss looks like a pyramid of blocks with a single glowing cube at the top. While gliding, make sure to land on top of this glowing cube.
If you do so, the boss won’t aggro. Next, equip your strongest weapon of choice, lock onto the enemy, and start smashing the glowing cube with all your might. This way, you can not only initiate the attack first but also dish out a lot of damage even before the fight starts. If the above steps are done correctly, the boss should stagger even before it gets a chance to hit you. Flux Construct 1 enters its staggered mode when you see all its cubes scattered on the ground. Head toward the glowing cube and start attacking it once again. That should be enough to finish him off. Till now, this has been the best and easiest way to beat Flux Construct 1 in Zelda TOTK.
Not Using a Paraglider
If you fail to land on top of the glowing cube using your paraglider as stated in Method 1, Method 2 can get you through the boss fight easily. If you don’t have a paraglider, use the airplane at the Nachoyah Shrine to glide toward the arena. Additionally, make sure you have a few bomb flowers in your inventory. When the red sensor on the boss sees you, the fight is on.
Flux Construct 1 will transform itself into a colossus and try to slam-dunk you. Keep sprinting toward the left or right, and you’ll dodge the attack. Next, look for the glowing cube. It should be located either on its hands or feet (randomized). If the glowing cube is at its feet, sprint towards it and attack the cube with a melee weapon. If the cube is on its hand, use arrows to damage it. Bomb arrows work like a charm and can easily stagger it. After a while, the boss should change its phase. It can transform either into a huge rolling cube or a rectangular platform floating in the air.
Dealing with the Cubic Flux Construct 1 variant
If Flux Construct 1 turns into a giant cube, you can easily dodge its attacks since it moves slowly. Avoid using melee weapons in this phase. Again, aim at the glowing cube and use bomb arrows or fire arrows to deal more damage and eventually stagger it.
Dealing with the Floating Platform Flux Construct 1 variant
This phase can be tricky. The boss spawns five small cubes in front of it and hurls them toward you. You can dodge them by sprinting toward the left or right. Next, use the Recall ability on one of the thrown cubes to return the piece to the boss. This will freeze the boss for a brief while, giving you enough room to shoot arrows at the glowing cube, which should be located at the bottom.
If you run out of arrows or your bow breaks, stand underneath the floating platform and use the Ascend ability to get on top of the boss. Lock onto the glowing cube and attack with your melee weapon. Rise and repeat the above steps, and Flux Construct 1 will be dead in no time.
