If you have been playing Zelda ToTK, you might have come across the various recurring bosses in the game. Although the variety of bosses you will encounter is quite high, not every boss is as difficult to defeat as the one we are going to talk about in this guide. Yes, we are referring to King Gleeok. Gleeoks are nothing but dragon monsters in ToTK that are hard to beat, but the King Gleeok is even harder to tackle. With three heads attached to one body, this dragon beast will test your fighting skills in the game and require sheer determination to beat. Well, if you are struggling to fight this beast, you don’t have to worry anymore, as we have a simple trick you can use to decimate it. So, continue reading to know more.
Since you are reading this guide, we are assuming that you have already fought the King Gleeok a couple of times, only to be defeated by it. Whether or not that’s the case, you can use a straightforward method to make sure that the battle is always in your favor and that you don’t take any significant damage. But, how?
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to defeat/kill King Gleeok easily
If you didn’t already know, there is an in-game mechanic in Zelda ToTK that allows Link to use his bows in slow motion. While standing on a surface, if you aim your bow, it will obviously fire arrows at normal speed. However, when you are launched into the air, the scenario changes. If you jump from a high-enough surface and, while in mid-air, aim your bow, time slows down, allowing you to aim and even change fuse materials for your arrow. But, this requires a considerable amount of stamina. So, how does this in-game mechanic help defeat the King Gleeok easily?
Once you make your way to the island where the King Gleeok spawns, you will notice a bunch of pillars scattered across the area. You can use these pillars to hide from the attacks of the King Gleeok, and then use your bow and arrows to deal damage. Well, this is the method you must have tried to beat the boss, but it requires too much skill, right? Yes, it does, which is why using the slow-motion in-game mechanic is a lifesaver.
For this, climb on top of any pillar on the island (preferably the ones that are high). Now, wait for the King Gleeok to position itself right in front of you. After this, press the appropriate key to perform a jump, and then hit the ZR key to aim with your bow (preferably the Savage Lynel Bow). You can even fuse different elements to your arrows and deal elemental damage to each head during the slow-mo time period. Once you deal enough damage, the King Gleeok will be stunned. Now it is time to deal some melee damage. Equip a powerful melee weapon like the White-Maned Lynel Reaper or the Silver Lynel Smasher and perform repeated strikes on the King Gleeok’s head.
Repeat this process until you defeat the boss. Make sure to keep some distance while aiming your bow to deal damage. Using the above-mentioned process, defeating the King Gleeok will be easier than ever. If you found this guide informative, make sure to stay tuned to us for more such guides on Android Gram.
