Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom (ToTK) Royal White Stallion: How to get and find
Before proceeding to find the horse, make sure you have enough stamina. We recommend you acquire at least two wheels of stamina to ease the process of taming the horse. But if you don’t have enough stamina, you can temporarily boost your stamina pool. Meals and recipes prepared with Endura Carrots do the trick. You can acquire a few Endura Carrots at the top of the Satori Mountains, located towards the west of the Hyrule Castle (-0254, 1062, 0380)—more on that in this article. Also, make sure you have Stealth enhancing potion or armor with the Stealth Up passive bonus so that the horse doesn’t get easily alerted.
Where to Find the Royal White Horse
To find the Royal White Stallion, you need to reach a stretch of land north of the Skull Lake Cave. Skull Lake is located beyond Death Mountain in the northeastern section of the map. However, we don’t suggest you try to cross Death Mountain, as it’s quite dangerous. Instead, walk along the path in the Akkala Highlands, located between the Eldin Canyon and the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower (2866, 0581, 0373). If you follow the road, you should arrive at the East Akkala Stable (4231, 2746, 0170). From the stable, head north-west to arrive at the Skull Lake Cave (3322, 3424, 0172). The Royal White Stallion resides north of Skull Lake. Here are the coordinates: (3267, 3750, 0232).
How to Tame the Royal White Stallion
The process of taming the horse is the same as for any other horse. Before approaching it, make sure to drink stealth-enhancing potion/armor. Next, make sure to consume stamina-increasing potions or recipes and start approaching the horse while crouched. When you’re near the horse, press A to mount it.
You will get the option to soothe the horse by rapidly pressing L on your controller. When you do so, you should notice that each time you soothe the horse, a portion of your stamina drains. Hence, the stamina-increasing potion will come in handy in this situation. After you have depleted more than one wheel of stamina, the horse will be tamed. But don’t rest yet. You need to register the horse as well. Take the horse to any stable. We recommend returning to East Akkala Stable since it is the nearest stable in the area. Talk to Rudi, the stable manager, and register the horse as your own.
