PC gamers are excited as New World is coming tomorrow! The video game had a pretty successful beta program and is finally ready to step into the official competition. Being a massively multiplayer online game and one of Amazon Games’ biggest titles, New World has already garnered many fans. The video game will most certainly be a buy-to-play video game. It will be available for downloads on Steam and Amazon Games platforms. With the release of New World on PC, the biggest question fans have on their minds is whether the game will make its way into consoles. It’s 2021, and console gaming has become hugely popular in multiple countries across the world. Also, cross-play support is a very desired feature in all popular game titles these days.
Two of the most popular console brands: Play Station and Xbox, are well equipped to support the catchy graphics of New World. However, since Amazon Games is working to bring in cloud support to video games, it can be expected that they will join hands with Xbox soon. Xbox Gamepass itself supports cloud gaming. However, Amazon Games has its own cloud gaming service, Luna. If the competitive publishers of New World are planning to bring the game to any of the existing consoles, it is most probably going to be easier to port on Xbox. There have been multiple delays in the development process of New World, but now that the game is finally releasing, fans are quite happy. However, taking the recent developments into consideration, it is unlikely that Amazon Games will bring New World to Xbox Gamepass. They haven’t made any notable announcements for a console release. It seems that the developers are focused on creating a perfect product for PC. Consoles might be very portable and powerful gaming devices, but they are still limited in performance and feel. A game like New World may do better on PC in all aspects. Although most popular games are released on Play Station and Xbox, the developers of New World may not have the same plans.
