1) Check the in-game audio settings:
Open the Options Menu in Rust, and then navigate to the Audio Sub-menu. Under Volume section, check whether any of the audio types you need is muted by mistake. For example, you shouldn’t mute the Master Volume as this represents Rust’s entire set of audio types. Set it to 60% at least. Similarly, Voices and Game Sounds volume play important roles in-game. So, don’t mute them as they will help you determine important aspects in a game of Rust. Under Speaker Config, make sure you don’t set the mode to Mono. You can set it to Stereo or 7.1 Surround according to the headphones you use. Save the settings and close the game.
