1) Verify the integrity of game files:
Playing Football Manager 22 through Steam? Try verifying your game files to fix freezing issues. It is possible that one of your game files is corrupted and is a reason behind the game getting stuck on the Privacy Policy page. Open Steam Library, and right-click on the game. Select Properties and then navigate to the Local Files tab. Now, click on the Verify integrity of game files… option. Steam will now verify your game files. 2) Delete Cache and Preferences:
The developers recommend deleting cache and preferences to solve the freezing/stuck at privacy policy issue in Football Manager 22. If you are on Windows 7, follow these steps:
– Click ‘Start’.
– Select ‘Computer’.
– From the header menu, select ‘Organize’ dropdown.
– Select ‘Folder and Search Options’.
– Now, select the ‘View’ tab and make sure ‘Show Hidden Files and Folders’ is selected.
– Navigate to C:\Users\[Your Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022.
– Move the Preferences and/or Cache folder to some other location, so they no longer appear in the FM21 folder.
If you are on Windows 8, 8.1, or 10, follow these steps:
– Open ‘File Explorer’.
– On the header click ‘View’ and make sure above ‘Show/hide’ that ‘Hidden Items’ is ticked.
– Navigate to C:\Users\[Your Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022.
– Move the Preferences and/or Cache folder to some other location, so they no longer appear in the FM21 folder.
Now, if moving the Preferences and/or Cache folders solves the issue, you can send the folder/s to the developers so that they can investigate and find out the root cause. You can report or send them the folders from the Sports Interactive Community.
3) Check your internet connection:
Although a basic troubleshooting step, a bad internet connection can be a hidden cause of the game getting stuck at Privacy Policy. Restart your router, or try using a different internet connection. You can even try using a wired connection to rule out issues.
If performing the above techniques doesn’t work, we suggest you let the developers know that you are still facing the problem even after trying the above steps. For more such articles on Football Manager 22, stay tuned to Androidgram!
