Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: How to get Manaphy, Phione & mystery gift function?
PS: You will need to complete the main campaign before you can hatch Phione. To get the mystery gift, you will have to first defeat your first gym leader. Also, you will have to make sure that your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet.

How to get the Mystery Gift in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
Once you make sure of both, navigate to Jubilife City (it will be unlocked only after you defeat the first gym trainer). Navigate to the Jubilife TV building or TV Station. Enter the building and then go to the second floor. Now, talk to the producer who will be standing there – he will ask you a series of questions. Now, to unlock your mystery gift, you will have to answer the questions correctly – just choosing any option will not get you the gift. The producer will ask your opinion on TV first, choose “EVERYONE HAPPY”. The producer will then request your feedback on TV – choose “WI-FI CONNECTION”. Voila! You can now unlock the mystery gift in the game – save the game, and open Main Menu to collect your gift.
How to get Manaphy in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
Now, when you click on the Mystery Gift, you will be shown a list of options. Choose Get via Internet. You may be prompted to update your game – you must be on 1.1.1 version of the game. Now, once you update the game, launch the game, open Main Menu, and select Mystery Gift again. Save the game and choose Get via Internet again. Now, you will be connected to the internet. You will also be shown two options for Mystery Gift – Manaphy Egg Gift and Clothing Gift. Since we are talking about Manaphy here, choose the Manaphy Egg Gift (you can always return to the Mystery Gift window to collect the Clothing Gift). Once you have received the Manaphy Egg, you will have to wait for it to hatch.
How to get Phione in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
To get Phione, you will have to breed two Manaphys, or a Manaphy and a Ditto. Now, as mentioned before, you can get a Phione only if you complete the main campaign. Ditto will not appear in the Pokemon Nursery before the post-game period.
Now, to get Phione, you will have to breed at the Pokemon Nursery located in Solaceon Town. Head over there, talk to the lady in the Nursery and choose to breed a Manaphy and a Ditto. If you have two Manaphys, you can choose to breed them too. Once the breeding process is done, collect the egg and hatch it. You can follow the tip below to hatch eggs faster.
Tip: A quick way to hatch your eggs in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is to navigate a lot around the map – increase the number of steps. Also, instead of moving straight, move in circles or sideways as that increases the rate of step count per second.
