Update as of February 7, 2022:
Techland has finally acknowledged our reports regarding the mouse keybindings not working in Dying Light 2 and have assured of a fix soon. They have also suggested a workaround to tackle the situation until then. We had already suggested this in the original article, but here’s the same in detail:
1) Download an official software for your mouse from the manufacturer’s website.
2) Bind your mouse’s keys accordingly.
3) Now, return to the game and try binding your mouse keys to the action of choice via Settings.
For a visual explanation, take a look at this official video by Techland.
Original Post from February 4 follows:
Unable to bind your mouse keys to actions of your choice in Dying Light 2? Well, reports suggest that Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s mouse keybinding customization setting is broken. It is disheartening to not have the option of user-configurable mouse keybindings in a 2022 video game. Especially when its prequel had the option to do so! Dying Light 2: Stay Human is one of the much-awaited video games of 2022 and features a vast open world. Players can explore every nook and cranny of the map using the game’s mobile-friendly navigation mechanics. However, some players want to be able to customize their mouse keybindings depending on how they have played the prequel. Read this article to know more.
Dying Light 2 is an action RPG by Techland and Square Enix, which was released today! Well, most of us have gotten our hands on this intriguing survival game already. However, like most releases, the developers are having to address a lot of bugs and glitches. They even announced a Day 1 patch containing over a thousand bug and glitch fixes! Well, it is still yet to be seen how things turn out with Dying Light 2 as the player base increases. As of now, we would like Techland to solve the annoying mouse keybindings not working issue in the game.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human Mouse keybindings not saving
Dying Light franchise fans are unable to deal with this change and demand that developers fix the ability to customize mouse bindings as soon as possible. Well, this particular issue may be the result of a bug affecting the mouse keybindings only. Players are able to change the mouse keybindings via settings but the changes are not saving after exiting the settings menu. Yes, it definitely sounds like a bug! Some players aren’t happy with the fact that there are only two options for mouse keybindings. Most gaming mouses feature more than two buttons these days for extra capabilities. However, it seems players are able to bind the keys but the game isn’t saving the changes.
As of now, the mouse-right-button is bound to Aim and the mouse-left-button is bound to Attack. And, you cannot change the same. Keyboard bindings can still be customized without an issue. Unfortunately, Techland hasn’t yet acknowledged this bug report yet. Considering the fact that it’s a bug, they should certainly address it as soon as possible.

Is there a fix yet?
As mentioned before, there’s no fix to mouse keybinding changes not saving in the game yet. You can, however, use third-party mapping softwares like Logitech Software to help you out until the developers address the same. For more articles on Dying Light 2, stay tuned to Andoridgram!
