Stuck at trying to install the all-new action RPG by Techland? Well, you are not alone! With the official launch of Dying Light 2: Stay Human came several [minor & major] bug reports and the much dreaded “startup crash”. In this article, we will be talking about an installation bug in Dying Light 2 that is reportedly a subset of the much-reported startup crash issue. Dying Light 2 triggers an installation in-game after players launch it for the first time. And, many of us are unable to verify and complete the same. The installation progress is stuck after a while and leads to the game crashing for some. This has reportedly affected PC users only – we haven’t come across similar reports with the PS or Xbox releases.
Dying Light 2 was launched today and is now available to play on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. A Nintendo Switch version is yet to come – it was delayed because the developers wanted to provide fans with the “gaming experience at the level they deserve”. As of now, Techland has promised to release the Switch version by August 2022. We are yet to see how such a plan works out! As for Dying Light 2’s situation, being a “Zombie Game” on next-gen hardware and PC isn’t easy in 2022. Dying Light 2 has kept that in mind and upheld its prequel’s much-loved mechanics while adding in some much-needed improvements.
