It is very easy to switch to the free chat option in the Among Us. All you need to do is follow a few steps that will help you to connect with your friends in the game. Go through each step one by one so that you can help find your friends find the imposter in the game, or lie about it.
1) The first step that you need to take is to open the game. After the game opens, go to the “Account” option that is on the left side of the screen. Here, you will see three options. Click on the option that says “Link Account”. By doing this, you will be able to link your Steam account to the game. Only after that, you will be able to connect to the official Among Servers through your Steam Account.
2) Now, get back to the main home screen of the game. Here, you will have to click on the “Online” option. Once you enter the online world, you will be able to host a game, join a public game, and join a private game. Hosting a game will allow you to invite your friends to your server. However, joining the public server will throw you at a random group of strangers. Last but not the least, the private server is for those whose friends are hosting a server, and a code is needed to enter those servers. From these three options, you will have to click on the “Host” option.
3) Once you enter the host option, you will see the option where you can change the Chat Type. Just change the chat type from “Quick chat only” to “Free chat”.
