If you have just created your account with Apex Legends, set a cool name for your character, and immediately regret your decision afterward, there’s an easier way out of this situation. You can choose to log out and use a different service to sign in to the game, thus triggering a new account creation. Apex Legends Mobile is in the beta stage, so any account(s) you create now has a shell life till May 3, 2022. So, creating a new account now ain’t going to cause you any inconveniences. In fact, if you have just created a new account, be it during beta or in the final version, it will not matter much. During the full release, Respawn will probably add an option to delete the account entirely, so you can start afresh. But if you have progressed into the game and don’t want to lose out on that or you simply don’t want to create a new account, you will have to embrace other options.
How to change your username in Apex Legends Mobile?
Upon logging in for the first time, you will receive a free rename card. Yes, you can use it immediately to change your name in Apex Legends Mobile instead of creating a new account. But that’s going to cost you your first free easy-to-get rename card. Beyond that, you can only get hold of a free rename card by completing particular missions. Or, you can purchase a rename card from the in-game Store. One rename card will cost you 299 Syndicate Coins (Syndicate Coins is Apex Legends’ in-game currency). Of course, any purchase you make now (beta phase) will be refunded to you (equivalent Syndicate Coins) during full release. But, you will have to spend some bucks now!
How to use rename card?
If you own a rename card in Apex Legends Mobile and want to use it, here’s how you can do so!
1) Open your profile by tapping the icon on the top-left of the lobby screen.
2) Now, tap on the pencil icon next to your username.
3) Next, tap on the Change Name button.
4) You will now see a text box to type your new name. Note that changing your name will cost you a rename card. And this time, we recommend finalizing your username after giving it some thought!
