The 2017 action-adventure video games look to bring out the new map ‘Fjordur’ which is considered to be the thud of Mjolnir in June 2022. Mjolnir is apparently the name of the entire suit.
Ark Survival Evolved was developed by Studio Wildcard with an idea of a survival game on an island consisting of dinosaurs, natural hazards, and hostile human players. Although the game is single-player it never makes you feel alone as the story and graphics keep you in control of the journey. The game is flexible in terms of FPP(First Person Perspective) and TPP(Third Person Perspective). Jesse Rapczak and Jeremy Stieglitz are the directors of the game which launched on Unreal Engine 4. It is also quite flexible across platforms including Linux, Windows, macOS, PS4, and more.
The game began ruling out a variety of game modes back in 2016 with Survival of the fittest as a start. The game is also entering the esports world with a huge prize pool of 50k dollars. In 2019, game developers came out with a new version of the game called Classic PVP.
What is Fjordur going to look like in Ark Survival Evolved?
The new map Fjordur is expected to be a modded map developed by Nekatus and Trappel22 in a Scandinavian style for Ark Survival Evolved. Its a winter map with four islands Vardiland, Vannaland, Bolbjord, and Balheimr. It includes large castles, caves, and also a bunch of easter eggs. The game also looks to release a new armor skin set.
Some unique environment features supply crates, Deep SEA Loot Crate, snowstorm, Aurora Borealis, custom beaver dams, and many such new additions. The spawn locations are all around the coast across the 2 islands. Even though some fans have complaints of ruining the good modded maps in the reasoning of being creative. The fans expect the developers to fix Ark Survival Evolved’s existing maps. The servers also tend to crash on official servers a concerning number of times.
Fjordur has a ton of new things such as custom supply drop optics, own custom skin set found in caves,3 realms visitable through the portal cave, custom-made boss arenas. It also includes a list of bug fixes including Nidisheim crystal colors, wrong dock mesh, waterfall cliff collision. buggy water PPV in the Vanaheim land. Some other updates are added worlds map, bats in molten caverns, Gachas in Vanaheim, adjusted frozen waterfall LODs and some replacements of the meshes on Vanaheim.
Fans also predict that Ark 2 might be out by the same time the new map will be launched which is June 2022. But regardless, kudos to the map creators for keeping it fresh for the fans in a window of the next big version.
