ASUS’s latest update in their flagship series, ASUS Zenphone 7, is confirmed to launch on August 26, 2020. And while we wait for the phone to arrive, several specs have been leaked on twitter.
ZenFone 7 is being developed with the model number of ZS670KS, and SoC will be equipped with Snapdragon 865 equipped with 5G support. The phone will come with a 6.4-inch LCD BOE FHD+ Display. The display will refresh at a 60hz per second rate.
According to the reports, The fingerprint authentication sensor is made by Goodix, and the specific sensor IC is gf3626. We have previously seen the specific sensor in the Honor X10 that has a fingerprint authentication sensor that doubles as a power button.
This also cancels any possibility of an in-screen fingerprint scanner in the Asus Zenphone 7. The phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner like it’s predecessor, Asus Zenphone 6, or it’ll be mounted on the back.
There is also a description that corresponds to an external SD card, suggests that it will be a triple-slot of nanoSIM + nanoSIM + SD Card like ZenFone 6.
The ASUS Zenphone 7 is expected to have a Triple Rear Flip camera with a Dual Led Flash. The main rear camera sensor is mentioned to be a Sony IMX686 with a 12MP Ultra Wide Shooter plus Wide IMX363. Time-Of-Flight (TOF) has been added as a feature to the camera of the Zenphone 7.
