Back 4 Blood Matchmaking Failed Error & long matchmaking time
The early access phase for Back 4 Blood was live from October 7. Players could access the early phase if they purchased the ultimate or deluxe editions of the video game. The official release date for the video game was on October 12. During the official release of much-awaited titles like Back 4 Blood, bumping into some unnecessary bugs and glitches in the game is very much expected. But, some bugs don’t let players play the game at all. Crashes and major bugs which render the game unplayable are not something peeps can be patient about. The matchmaking issue is common during official launches but annoying. This issue was also reported during the beta phase. Since the issue reappeared with the exact same symptoms, we can say that the reason is still the same.

Fixes and Workarounds for Matchmaking Failed Error
There are no working fixes as per reports. The matchmaking issue is completely on the backend’s side of the game. Players cannot fix the bug which is causing the error. Also, a matchmaking issue may also happen due to a lack of players playing on a particular server. So, if you are on a server with long wait times, there’s a possibility that there aren’t enough players online on the same server at the moment for matchmaking. However, players demand that the developers should add bots until real players join. The lack of players should not stop the entire process of matchmaking and hence, the game.
There are a few workarounds you can try. Try the following:
1) Turn on crossplay: Since Back 4 Blood supports crossplay, make sure you turn that option on from in-game settings. This makes the matchmaking pool large and may make matchmaking faster.
2) Check your internet connection: Try using a wired connection or a mobile hotspot. Reset your router. Overall, make sure your internet connection is not at fault.
That’s all you can do about this issue at the moment. The developers need to include bots to decrease matchmaking time. Back 4 Blood is a decent video game, but some things need to be sorted right away!
