While there is no immediate benefit to returning Thrinn’s boots to her, you can still choose to do it. Why? Because it is the right thing to do (morally). You can also choose to keep using her boots and not return them but where is the fun in that? There is also a reward if you are interested in getting that benefit. Thrinn is an Ironhand Gnome that is being forced to dig in Grymforge. This is where you will find her.
Getting to Grymforge with the boots is easier said than done. This is because the boots are all the way in Underdark. Underdark is a dangerous region with lots of hostile enemies, mobs, and bosses to take on. In one of these encounters, you can find these boots and pick them up to return them.
Where will you find the boots?
The boots, as we mentioned, are in Underdark. Here is how you get them;
- You will need to travel to Underdark and speak to the Duergars there near the beach. Once they tell you about the boots, the quest actually begins.
- Go to the Myconid colony and speak to Thulla. She will be lying down on the ground next to Spaw.
- Once you speak to her, you have three options: cure her, kill her, or wait for her to die.
- All of these options will let you take the boots from her, but you can choose the one you want to go through with. If she is dead, you can take it from her corpse, but if you cure her, she will offer it to you as a reward. Waiting for her to die will also be the same as taking it from her corpse.
Once you have the boots in hand, you can go over to Grymforge and look for Thrinn. You will learn more about them from your conversation with Thulla as well. In the Grymforge, the Ironhand Gnomes are being made to dig for resources. Thrinn will be walking barefoot among them. Once you spot her, you can return the boots to get rewards. These are Armor of Uninhibited Kushigo, and Bracing Band.
