Borderlands 3 is an action role-playing game launched in the year 2019. Like its pre-sequels – Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2 – it was a huge hit and was able to trigger a large number of downloads on Steam and other platforms. However, like the issue with most role-playing games, this game is also not free from complications. One of those issues causes the resolution settings to not save. Are you also facing the same problem? Don’t worry; we have got you covered. Read till the end and you will find the fix to the problem.
The first thing you want to check is whether your system meets the minimum specs requirement of Borderlands 3. You can check for the minimum system requirements and additional software installation related to Borderlands 3 here.
How to fix the resolution setting not saving?
The main reason for the problem is the issue in your windows resolution setting. so you need to change the game DPI setting to make it compatible with your windows.
Here is how you can do it –
1. Go to the Borderlands 3 icon on your desktop. Right-click on it and select Open file location.
2. Then, you have to look for the game’s .exe file.
3. After you locate the game’s .exe file, right-click on it and go to Properties and then open the Compatibility tab.
4. In the Compatibility tab, select Change high DPI settings and check the box beside the Override high DPI scaling behavior option.
5. After that make sure to Restart your computer to take the changes into effect.
After doing all these steps you should not face any problems related to Resolution Compatibility.
If you are still facing stutter lag and issues with the Resolution scale, here is what you can do for maximum frame rate/optimization:
Go to your video settings in Borderlands 3 then-
◊. Make sure to select DirectX 11 as your graphics API.
◊. Set the Resolution Scale to 100%
◊. Turn the Vertical Sync: off.
◊. Select the Graphics Quality as Medium. If you think your PC can handle high graphics settings then change it to High. But we recommend selecting medium as it will give you the best frame rate.
◊. Material quality: You can choose between low and medium.
◊. Foliage detail: Make sure to set this to low for a great boost to your frame rates.
◊. Set the Character details to Medium
◊. Environment texture details: We recommend you set it to High.
That’s it; after applying the changes above you wouldn’t face frame rate or optimization issues. However, if you are still facing problems with the resolution not saving, we recommend you check your video drivers and make sure to update them. You can use a dedicated app like the Geforce Experience or give the Device manager app a visit. Stay tuned to Androidgram for more updates and fixes.
