Halo Infinite became available for PC and Xbox consoles on 8th December 2021. The beta version of the multiplayer component had been made available one month before the launch of the campaign. The game features Master Chief accompanied with his trusty and blue AI ‘Weapon’. After ‘Cortana’ left Master Chief’s side in Halo 5: Guardians, he got a new companion in the form of ‘Weapon’. Halo Infinite also has a single-player open world, which is set on alien lands. Along with a new AI companion, Master Chief’s teal armor also has a new upgrade. The grappling hook is a new addition to Master Chief’s armor that allows super quick movement in straight lines and can also be used to retrieve items.
However, players started facing problems with the custom game mode on Halo Infinite a few days after the release. The custom games have a few bugs some of which are preventing players from applying custom settings when the game starts, and not letting players load the custom game later on. Some game values do not reset when changing game modes. Halo Infinite’s custom game not working is still a problem, two months after the release of the game.
Hence, here are some ways that can help you fix these issues while loading a custom game until a good stability patch is released by 343 Industries. However, before you hop in, make sure that you are on a stable and fast internet connection. A bad internet connection can cause custom games in Halo Infinite to malfunction.

Halo Infinite Custom Games (fixes and workarounds):
1) Try disabling IPv6 through your control panel. This is how to do it. Search for Control Panel from the Start Menu Search and open it. Click on Network and Sharing Center and then on Change adapter settings. Right-click on the network you are using and go to Properties. There you need to disable Internet Protocol Version 6 and apply the settings. Once done, try to launch Halo and try creating a custom game.
2) Try launching Halo Infinite through the Xbox app rather than your Steam account. Steam is the most reliant platform for PC games. But there’s a possibility that the multiplayer on Xbox app may be more stable than on Steam.
3) If you are comfortable editing your group policies, you can also try enabling Teredo state. Type gpedit in the search box and open Group policy editor. Under Administrative templates click on All settings. Double click on Set Teredo State. Change the setting to Enabled and change the state to Enterprise Client. And apply the settings. After applying the settings mentioned above, restart your computer.
Halo Infinite is definitely one of the best games released in 2021. Despite the bugs and glitches, Halo Infinite showcases high-quality gameplay and weapon mechanics. With a few patches here and there, Halo can take the gaming industry by storm. For more articles on Halo Infinite, stay tuned to Androidgram!
