A Minecraft turtle egg, also known as a sea turtle egg in Bedrock Edition, is a block that releases one or sometimes more baby turtles.
How To Obtain Turtle Egg?
By Breeding
After two turtles have been bred with seagrass, one returns to its own beach, digs in the sand, and after a few seconds, lays an egg block with 1–4 eggs. The mechanics of hatching can be found further below.
By Breaking
Turtle eggs can be found in the inventory utilizing Silk Touch enchanted tools. The egg cracks without dropping anything if it is smashed without the enchantment, crushed by a piston, or if a gamer or gravity-affected block drops onto it.
Steps of Egg Hatching?
Before hatching, the egg will go through three stages:
1) To begin, you must first locate turtle eggs: In the Beach biome, turtles will naturally deposit their eggs at the sand’s edge. If you can’t find turtle eggs, you can breed sea turtles to make a turtle egg nest.
2) Increase the speed of the random tick: It can take a long time for turtle eggs to hatch. You can raise the random tick frequency to help the hatching process go faster. Minecraft’s default speed for random ticks is 3.

3) For the first time, turtle eggs will break: You will now have to wait three times for the turtle eggs to hatch. You’ll hear a “crack” sound and see green particles when the eggs crack for the first time. Small brown cracks will appear on the turtle eggs at this stage.
How Long Does It Take For Turtle Eggs To Hatch?
Red sand and sand are ideal environments for turtle eggs to hatch. After three cracks, the eggs hatch. At night, the eggs hatch much more quickly. Occasional ticks over the day have a 1/500 chance of shattering turtle eggs. They are almost certain to crack between 3:36 am and 4:33 am which is, (in) random ticks, between 21600 and 22550 ticks in-game. For the players, this is about a 48-second window. During this night-time window, almost 95 percent of eggs hatch. An egg takes about 4-5 nights to hatch. About 90% of eggs hatch in the course of 7 nights or less.
Why Do The Eggs Take This Long To Hatch?
Turtle eggs can be placed as normal solid blocks and will hatch into turtles over time. In addition, a block can hold up to four eggs. If players or things land on the egg a few times, it will eventually shatter. However, if the eggs crack and a baby turtle hatches, you would be able to get more turtles. Zombies, wolves, ocelots, and Skeletons will frequently attempt to devour your turtle eggs. As a result, you should always keep an eye on them till they hatch. Scutes are shed by the baby turtles while they mature into adults. The turtle shell will take about 5 turtle scutes to make, and once completed, the wearer will be able to breathe underwater.
What To Do After The Turtle Eggs Have Hatched?
When the eggs hatch, they will make a cracking sound, and green particles will appear.
– Set the random-tick speed to default after the turtle eggs have hatched.
Turtle eggs take a long time to hatch; but, by raising the random tick speed, you can speed up the hatching process. The default frequency of the random ticks is usually three. Before hatching, you should always sit tight for the eggs to break three times.
