Wondering how to connect your PS4 controller to your phone? Well, if you are using an official DUALSHOCK 4 controller, we are happy to inform you that you can now enjoy playing video games on your phone using your controller. The popular PS4 wireless controller model support Android and iOS operating systems via Bluetooth. How amazing is that? Controllers provide better control (as the name suggests) in mobile games. If you are someone who has to deal with sweaty hands while gaming, try using a controller for mobile gaming – lesser slipping! Enough of the chat, let’s get to the main discussion.

Before we get into the steps, we would like to talk about compatibility. Not all games will support the use of controllers. That being said, most shooter and racing mobile games will be compatible with your PS4 controller. Some users suggest using third-party key mapper software for incompatible games. However, you may face a ban as most mobile video games don’t tolerate the use of third-party background applications. Plus, you will need to make sure whether your phone’s OS is compatible with your PS controller’s model. Here’s more information regarding the same:

Controller Model Name Compatible OS
DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller Android 10, iOS 13, iPadOS 13, tvOS 13, macOS Catalina

Connect your PS4 controller to Android and iOS devices in this way

Connecting your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless (PS4) controller to your Android or iOS mobile phone will require Bluetooth. Follow these steps:-
1) Firstly, make sure that the light bar on your PS4 controller is switched off. If not, press and hold the PS button until it turns off. Also, disconnect any USB cable from your controller.
2) Now, press and hold the SHARE and PS buttons together until the light bar starts flashing.
3) You can now enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and look for this controller’s name in the list.
4) Tap on the controller’s name (will be similar to DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller) to initiate pairing.

Note: PS controllers can be paired to only one device at a time. So, each time you change devices, you will have to perform the pairing process again. Also, if you use third-party controllers for PS4, we cannot guarantee its compatibility with Android or iOS devices. In such cases, check the manufacturer’s manual or contact support for help and instructions.

I love to play video games and write about them. Food helps with my patience. I am a fan of comedy, and I am funny too (sometimes just angry).
